This is the build I used in Rragar's Menagerie, but would work well against any mobs that are caster heavy, and can defend against melee too.

Skill Set

Smoke Trap (Elite)
Barbed Trap
Dust Trap
Trapper's Speed
Great Dwarf Armor (Optional)
Ebon Escape
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support (Optional)
Rebirth (Optional)

Attributes with runes were:

15 Expertise (12+3)
15 Wilderness survival (11+1+3)
Leftover in Marksmanship

Other than Superior runes of WS and Expertise, all others are radiants and attunements.

This armor combined with any +15 energy staff should give you around 54 energy.  Though you might bring your normal armor set with you to raise health when you need it.

Build Usage

This build can be used for both the traditional method of trapping (pulling enemies onto traps) and shadow stepping into caster mobs to inflict mass daze and blind.

You will need an ally in the mob to shadow step to: the party tank, someone's pet, or your own pet if you switch that in instead of a couple of optional skills.

Before shadow stepping in, make sure Smoke Trap is recharged as it is the important trap and laying it will protect you from wanding and melee until a real Dust Trap can be laid.  Mantra of Resolve/Concentration or Whirling Defense could be used for this short period of time to avoid interruptions and then these stances are easily ended by using Trapper's Speed.

Other than shadow stepping in, I have found (at least in normal mode) that once the tank(s) have aggro you can sometimes run to the rear of the enemy mob and trap under their backline casters.  Dazing their Monk and then hitting him with Vanguard Assassin Support is a deadly combo.

With consumables up you lay traps in half the time (1sec) and they recharge twice as fast.  Your energy pool is higher and therefore you can lay a formidable amount of traps in a short period of time.

Overall you are very mobile with this build, if your monk or ele comes under melee attack you can SS to them and lay a dust trap to take off pressure and usually cause AI to scatter.

However, if your team is short on damage, I strongly discourage using this build as you are unable to deal very high DPS with just Barbed/Dust Trap and Assassin Support.

Comments? Suggestions?

Well if there's not any major changes that need to be made I guess this is finished, let me know if you see something...
