That's right.  We have now begun our alliance.  Other than our alternate guild (The Ecliptic Phoenix), we will soon have Martyrs Of Christ Followers Of [God] as a partner in the alliance if they choose to accept the invite.  You will notice that there is a new alliance section in the forums and as we have alliance members visit the forums, they will have a badge indicating that they are members of the alliance (much like the Guild Leader, Guild Officer, Guild Member badges).

We are open to other Christian guilds joining our new alliance so please keep your eyes and ears open and lets see if we can find some other like-minded guilds out there to partner with. 

Come one, come all, to the second year birthday of Signet of the LION!  Fun, food, and games will be held starting at 8PM EST THIS Friday, at the LION guild hall!  Come ready for an evening of fun both in Guild Wars and on Teamspeak as we fellowship and celebrate the blessings on this guild for the past 2 years!  at 8:10PM EST, we will kick off the even with Prayer, and the fireworks will begin!  Feel free to put up your own crate if you have it as well.

Crystal Desert Race:
A LION officer and other guild members will embark to a town in the Crsytal Desert.  Giving a 2min lead time, the officer will then run to the stop, call "Go" and the members will race to try to find him.

Rules of the Cape Contest:

    * One cape entry per person.  Please do not post more than one cape in fairness to everyone.
    * Each of those capes will be entered into the contest to be voted on by all members.
    * The voting period will be 5 days with the results being shown after you cast your vote.
    * The top three capes will be entered into a final round of voting that will last 5 days.
    * The winning cape's creator will receive 20 platinum, 2 black dyes, a Superior Vigor Rune, a Req 9 Inscribable Elemental Sword, and 40 Peppermint Candy Canes
    * The second place cape's creator will receive 10 platinum, 2 black dyes, a  Nooseknitter's Flatbow, and 20 Peppermint Candy Canes.
    * The third place cape's creator will receive 10 platinum, a  Stoneherder's Flatbow, and 20 Peppermint Candy Canes.
    * In case of a tie for first place, there will be another poll posted with only those capes.
    * If they tie again, the Guild Leadership will vote on a winner.
    * If an officer's cape is involved in a tie, they will not be eligible to vote in the tiebreaker.
    * If the voting done by the Guild Leadership ties, the Guild Leader will select a winner.
    * If there is a tie for second place, the prizes will be divided as fairly as possible.

Let the contest begin!  You have until one week from today to submit your entries in this thread.  Please note that some minor modifications could be made to the rules before the voting period begins.

I recommend posting your cape screenshots in the Miscellaneous section of the gallery and then copy and paste the BB code into your entry post.  If you are able to, please crop your screenshot to include only the cape design.  If you are not able to crop your picture, you can post it and I'll crop it and repost it for you.

I have added another detail to the rules.

We've discussed this issue for a long while in the private officer forum and then again in the private guild members forum.  It is time to make a decision.  This is a decision to be made by the guild as a whole.  If after seven days the results show that at least 2/3 of the guild is in favor of leaving the alliance then we shall leave.  Otherwise, we will stay.  During this seven day period, only members of the guild will be able to vote in polls on the forum.  After which, poll permissions for non-guild members will be restored.
